Budget Consultation

Southampton City Council is consulting on draft budget proposals for 2019/20 and 2020/21. These proposals are intended to ensure we can deliver a balanced budget.

Now is your opportunity to have your say. Please read the following information and complete the questionnaire to give us your views. We are interested to hear about any ways in which the proposals could affect you or others and any alternatives you feel we should consider.

Whilst we have summarised proposed changes in this questionnaire, there are also information sheets that provide further detail on the proposals and frequently asked questions. This information is all available at: www.southampton.gov.uk/budget

The deadline for completing the questionnaire is 2 January 2019.

In addition to this overarching budget consultation questionnaire, we will be undertaking three separate, more detailed consultation questionnaires on the following proposals so we can make sure that individuals who are affected, their families and any other interested stakeholders have the opportunity to engage fully.

1. Reviewing the Adult Social Care Charging Policy

2. The future of two council owned residential care homes

3. Reviewing service charges for council tenants

All information regarding these consultations and links to the questionnaires is available at www.southampton.gov.uk/budget
